- Ahead of their show at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Australian punk-rock band Amyl and the Sniffers visited The Current studio for a session hosted by Mac Wilson. They played two songs from their latest album, 'Comfort to Me,' after starting with a cut from their 2019 self-titled release. After the music, the band spoke with Mac Wilson about how they spent their time during pandemic-related lockdowns, and the approach they take to keeping their sets lively and fresh every night.

It's really impressive that even with basically no audience they can still this much energy.
One of tenets of being in a performing band is that you give the same performance whether there are 10000 people or 1. One of the first things you learn.
She's got a cord running to her, they plugged her in that's why.
They just play their songs. Don´t parrot it all. :P
Its bizzarre to me that someone watches this and thinks they have tons of energy. They are pretty much just standing there strumming their guitars.

I think that she is great when she is talking, when she is singing, when she is not talking, and when she is sleeping (perhaps talking or singing in her sleep , snoring or quiet) . I guess that covers just about everything.

This band has come such a long way and it’s all there to watch on you tube, how good is that! But then again as possibly the worlds hardest working band look out your window, they are probably playing in your street.

Amazing.... The interviewer starts by asking them about another musician they're opening for at a later date. Then Guided by Angels/Guided by Voices? WTF? How does that make the band feel about why they're there? We want to hear about the band, not irrelevant stuff. Like the guy didn't have any experience interviewing or put in any effort to learning about the band ahead of time. I love the band; they all speak up. Amy Taylor seems so angry when singing, yet happy and funny in the interview.
That voice doesn't match that sound, in fact, nothing matches.

The guy doing the interview has no natural emotions, it's like he is a robot and don't even care if these people are dead or alive. The person in charge of current needs to be fired. Hire real people not fakes!
If this is the punk music of today, than I start to dig myself under the ground. Fake anger, fake frustration, punk rock lookalikes singing about real problems with zero energy.
